HMRC and Benefit Fraud – January 2015

SA Law Chambers represent the defendant in an allegation of sophisticated fraud against the HMRC and DWP spanning many years.  The allegation involves a significant degree of planning and numerous fraudulent declarations concerning various organisations involving a value of approximately £300,000.

The matter is listed for trial before Harrow Crown Court.


Multi Handed Conspiracy to Commit Fraud by False Representation at Maidstone Crown Court – January 2015

SA Law Chambers represent a defendant in a multi-handed conspiracy relating to the obtaining of customer bank details via fraudulent means.  The conspiracy concerns 144 complaints of Fraud throughout the South and South-East of England which were sophisticated, well planned and involve numerous defendants.  The alleged Modus Operandi involves the use of technology that displays the tones of key strokes as digits when inputted into a phone.

The trial is listed for 8 weeks at Maidstone Crown Court.

 

Operation Herschell - People trafficking - Jan 2015

The defendant and six co-defendants await trial for allegations of people trafficking before the Southwark Crown Court. It is alleged that a number of individuals were trafficked into the UK and then held captive until the remainder of the smugglers' 'fees' were paid.

 

Gang related murder in East London - January 2015

SA Law Chambers are representing one of several Defendants currently awaiting trial before the Old Bailey charged with murder. This was a gang related murder in Hackney where all parties involved are known to have links to serious offences of violence and drugs.
